Stretching Your Card Kits using Older Stamps

Hello crafty friends!

I hope your summer is going fantastic - I know mine is!!  I can't believe we will be coming up to the end of the Seasonal Expressions 2 catalogue soon - time sure flies when you are having fun!

I was working with two of the Cardmaking Kits - "Grateful for You" and "Thinking of You". I wanted to share with you how I made many different versions simply by using different older stamps in my stash!!

product image

Kit  Contents:
1 – exclusive workshop stamp set (B-size)
2 – Sweet Girl sheets
3 – cardstock sheets (1 Fern, 2 White Daisy)
1 – Gold Embellishing (Z4054)
12 – white card bases & envelopes
printed instructions

Now, I LOVE that these kits have enough supplies to create 12 cards - 6 each of 2 designs. However, I don't need that many cards of the same variety in my stash all the time. So, I simply pulled out some older sentiment based stamps and created a fabulous collection. Take a peek:

As you can see, I didn't add the embellishment thread that came in the kit, but that was only because I had misplaced it when I created my card! OOPS!! But I think they still looked great left without. Now I have a wonderful set of assorted cards to use!! I kept the exact same cuts & layouts, just flipped some of the papers to use the opposite pattern. I love that about the double sided papers!

Next up, I did the same thing with the "Thinking of You" Cardmaking Kit:

Kit contents:
1 – exclusive workshop stamp set (B-size)
2 – True Love sheets
2 – cardstock sheets (1 Sugarplum, 1 White Daisy)
1 – Loose Sequins—Gold (Z4235)
12 – white card bases & envelopes
printed instructions

Here are my creations:

I really fell in love with this beautiful kit. |Guess what? I had TONS of paper and sequins leftover too! What a value! As you can see, I once again grabbed a few different sentiments and create some gorgeous cards.

I would encourage you to grab these kits while you still can! I know I will use the stamps over and over - they are a great addition to my stash and now I have 24 cards ready to give.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today!  I hope I inspired you to stretch your kits.

See you again soon!

xoxo

You won't be able to get this stamp set after the end of the month, so be sure to grab it soon!

You can find all the supplies on my website.

I hope you will come and play along with us!

See you next time!

Love at First Sight

Hello friends!

I hope you are doing well!  Spring seems to have finally sprung in my neck of the woods - it's just glorious outside!  Soon enough we will be tilling the soil and planting....ok, well, maybe that is still a bit away, but a girl can dream right?

I'm here to share with you today a wonderful opportunity to create 12 beautiful cards from one kit - with extra supplies leftover to make more!

The Kit that I used was the Workshops Your Way - Love at First Sight Cardmaking Kit (G1176). The cards are just GORGEOUS - BUT, I didn't need 6 and 6 of the exact same cards....SO, using the same base, I grabbed some of my other stamps and created different versions!  Did you know that when you grab these kits, the full cutting guides are included in them too?  How nice is that!

March 2019 CTMH Cross Canada Blog Hop

Hello crafty friends!

Welcome to my BRAND NEW blog - which will be all Close to My Heart!  That's right - I rejoined as a Consultant and I'm just so darn excited to be back on the Cross Canada Hop team!!

You should have arrived here from Brandi's Blog.

Our focus this month is on the "So Much Happy" Paper Pack!  I paired it with the So Much Happy - Cardmaking Stamp Set  and created a bunch of happy cards!!!  I did a little "ink rocking" techniques on some of my plants for extra dimension.

I was inspired by patterns in the Make It From Your Heart Volume 4 for the layout of these cards. Can you catch a sneak of a CONSULTANT only stamp set I used on one of the cards? :)  LOVE it!!

Supplies:

From My Stash (retired products):
Lagoon Twine
Grey/White Twine
Yellow Enamel Dots

Thank you so much for stopping by!! Your next stop on the hop is Janet and you can find her blog HERE.  If you aren't sure where you are in the hop, you can always start at Michelle's Blog HERE
